Alan Madin
Counsellor
Following careers in the RAF and then Education, I trained as a person-centred counsellor. I followed this with training in the Rewind and Flash Techniques which are both proven to help with anxiety, trauma and PTSD without the need for you to relive re-experience or constantly retell the painful events troubling you; and sometimes in only a single session.Â
Â
I have worked for a major healthcare provider in a short term EAP counselling role with clients experiencing issues such as depression, severe anxiety, workplace stresses and those in abusive relationships. I have also worked within the Offender estate helping individuals to successfully address the issues that led to them offending - often traumatic grief and loss.
Â
Having experience as a counselling training manager I am able to bring a good understanding of
other wider ways of working which we can draw on if needed, but at all times remaining person-centred at heart which means you will always be the focus of our work together.
Â
I bring this experience to my private practice because I believe we all deserve to find our true self, especially if we are not sure who that is anymore.
